What is this? Patobook is an application that manages the dailycommunication between school / kindergarten and family. It providesan alternative to the typical sheets of paper that are used forthis purpose daily. Why should I substitute my current method? Aphysical book or agenda works very well, but it has a cost, wastespaper, and takes time to fill all of them. And this app improvesthese inconveniences? This app is free and allows filling theinformation of several books at the same time. Besides it can beaccessed from any device. Does it work in all platforms anddevices? Yes, in Android you can access from this app and in therest of environments (iOS, Windows, …) you can access from anybrowser by opening the url http://app.patobook.com. The app alsoadapts to any screen size (mobile, tablet or bigger monitor). Doboth teachers and parents have to install the same app? Yes. Do youhave to register somewhere in order to use it? Every user that willuse the app (from school or family) must sign in the first time.Only a valid email address is needed. And how does the app work?The concept is simple, any user can create a "book", which willhave a name, a page layout (general or babies), and a list ofauthorized users. Every authorized user will have either the familyrole or the school role. Depending on the role the user will beable to edit certain fields. When a user that has been assigned toa book enters the application for the first time it willautomatically see those books. So in a kindergarten or school theprocedure should be: AT THE BEGINNING OF THE COURSE any user fromthe school (a teacher, the director, etc) creates one book per kid,and for each book grants access to the corresponding teachers andparents / relatives. Then, the rest of the users only need to knowhow to access the application and how to sign in the first time.DAILY the teachers fill in the information of their kids (wheneverthey want), and at the end of the day - when all the information ofthe current day is filled in - they insert a new page for the nextday. The family will read the current day report and (later) willwrite comments for the next day. Is the communication instant? Theinformation is saved and read on demand, there are no notificationsalthough the application shows in which books there are changespending to read. In the same way as with the physical book, theuser decides when to open a book to save something or when to opena book to check the contents. For instance, at 11:00 a teacherupdates something in a book and saves changes, the parents won'treceive any notification, but if they open the application afterthat time whey will see immediately that there is pendinginformation to read. What if one day the application failed or theinternet connection was lost? The application wouldn't beaccessible (internet access is needed). We recommend to have a planB for emergencies (i.e. a physical sheet of paper), like the onemany schools have when a book gets lost or is forgotten at home. Doyou provide guarantees?
